This week we moved on to the chapter: Food and Drinks – School Meals.
First, we did a dictation of the vocabulary related to weather that we learned last week. Please practice again at home any words you wrote incorrectly. Then, we went over the new vocabulary words that need to be mastered in this lesson.

We explained the different meanings of the character “菜 (cài)” in different contexts. We also emphasized the importance of using connective words in both writing and speaking exams. In addition, we learned how to use the sentence structure “A + 没有 + B + adjective.” For example: 网球没有羽毛球好玩。 → Tennis is not as fun as badminton.

本周作业:
1. 课堂已布置一篇短篇作文。书本第129页第4部分。要求要包括书中所列4点;字数争取在80-110字之间。
2. 掌握以上字词,要求会写并知道如何使用。
3. 掌握如何使用关联词语:因为。。。所以。。。;虽然。。。但是。。。;可是/但是/只是。。。; 和了解怎样使用‘A + 没有+ B + adjective’。

This week’s homework:

1. A short composition has been assigned in class: Book, page 129, Part 4.

Requirements: include the 4 points listed in the book.

Word count: aim for 80–110 characters.

2. Master the above vocabulary: be able to write them and know how to use them.

3. Practice using the following connective phrases:

因为…所以… (because… therefore…)

虽然…但是… (although… but…)

可是 / 但是 / 只是 (but / however / only)

And understand how to use the structure “A + 没有 + B + adjective.”
