1）复习\学习《汉语乐园》第三课：现在几点。复习有关时间的名词：今天、昨天、明天、早上、晚上和相关对话。
2）口语练习及复习基础汉字。我们一起站在窗口，用中文说出看到了什么。（树、叶子、落下来、高、颜色、数字、车、 快、慢等）
3）学习重点词：多少。
4）Fun time: 用一次性纸盘子制作一块挂钟。
作业：
和孩子用中文谈论时间。参考：几点了
练习写字：多少
What did we do this week?
1) Revise/learn: <Chinese Paradise> 2A, Lesson 3 . How to tell the time.
2) Speaking & Basic Chinese Words 2: this time we all stood by the window, I asked the kids to tell me what they saw and describe in detail to me in Mandarin.
3) Key words today: 现在几点了？ 多少
4) Fun time: Make a paper clock.
Homework:
1) Please watch the video with your kid 几点了,
2) Writing and Revising: 多 (lots) 少 (not many/much)

1）复习\学习《汉语乐园》第二课：你从哪里来。复习主要国家、城市的名称和对话。详见教材。
2）复习基础汉字。用变魔术的方法复习基础汉字，比如用“人”变出：从、众、大、天；用“口”字变出：中、叶、日、四；用“十”字变出：叶、早、干、土。孩子们很感兴趣。
3）学写重点词：北京。要求理解：北京是中国的首都，天安门是北京的标识建筑、北京到伦敦飞机10小时。
4）Fun time: 涂色地图、并在地图上用中文标注至少两个国家和城市。
作业：
和孩子一起观看《中国文化宣传片—中国文字》，复习基础汉字。
和孩子用中文谈论北京。参考：北京
What did we do this week?
1) Revise/learn: <Chinese Paradise> 2A, Lesson 2 .
2) Basic Chinese Words 2: Game Of Magic Words: change 人 to 从、众、大、天； change 口 to 中、叶、日、四；etc. Encourage children to use their knowledge to help to make more words. They loved the game.
3) Key words today: Beijing. We start learning the writing this week.
4) Fun time: Coloring the map and mark 2 countries and 2 cities in Chinese.
Homework:
1) Please watch the video《中国文化宣传片—中国文字》 with your kid, let him/her write down all the words he/she see.
2) Speaking: talking Beijing with your kid, this video is FYI: 北京

教学内容：
今天教学的主要内容为复习基础汉字、简单对话，藉此了解每个学生的中文水平。由于我们班的基础不一、孩子的年龄较小，我认为复习的过程即是学习。
1）复习\学习关于冬天的字词和对话。与冬天有关的词和短语有：冬天，下雪、雪人、冰、下雨、冷、围巾、手套等。
2）复习基础汉字。观看短片《巧虎识字1》。一边看一边讨论见到的字和相关的词和句子。
3）复习《汉语乐园》第一课：你从哪里来。
4）Fun time: 画画你心中的冬天。要求有我们学到、谈到的冬天元素。
作业：
和孩子一起观看《你是哪国人》，复习第一课内容中的字词。
提示：
1) 本班和一年级的教学不同之处在于：a, 本班和一年级使用同样教材，但本班教学会比一年级略微慢一些。b, 本班的口语会多于一年级，同时写字会少、拼音也暂时不开始。c, 本班每节课都安排有10-15分钟与教学内容相关的活动（比如画画、涂色、手工等），以保持孩子的学习兴趣、让学习过程快乐有趣。一年级大约是隔周10-15分钟。
2) 孩子试读后如果感觉不合适，可以要求调换班级。
3）请没有教材的孩子家长联系陈先生给孩子购买教材《汉语乐园》、《语文》及写字本。
What did we do this week?
Learning while revising will be our main teaching/learning method in next 3 weeks. I hope you agree that the repeating is important for language study, it is even more useful given the time we could spend and the age of our children.
1) New Words and phases: winter words. (winter, cold, snow, snowing, snowman, scarf, gloves, raining, cloudy, etc)
2) Basic Chinese Words 2: please refer to video 《巧虎识字1》
3) Revise/learn: <Chinese Paradise> 2A, Lesson 1.
4) Fun time: Draw your winter picture.
Homework:
1) Please watch the video 《你是哪国人》， with your kid again, let him/her write down all the words he/she see. Try to talk or play “where are you from ” together.
2) Writing: 中国人、英国人(Chinese, Britsih)。If you like, ask you child to practise writing of these words.

今天是分班的第一天。今天教学的主要内容为复习基础汉字、简单对话，藉此了解每个学生的中文水平。今天没有学习新字。
1）复习关于季节、秋天的对话。与秋天有关的词和短语有：刮风、下雨、冷、叶子、叶子变色、叶子掉下来等。
2）复习基础汉字。观看短片巧虎学汉字17 。一边看一边讨论见到的字和相关的词和句子。
3）复习有关时间的词：今天、昨天、明天、早上、晚上。
4）Fun time: 涂色：秋天、南瓜、叶子。
作业：
请陪孩子再次观看短片《巧虎学汉字17》，让孩子写出她、他认识的汉字。
提示：

What did we do this week?
It was the first day of our reception class. We spent all the time revising the words/phases that in 3 groups as following. From the reactions I was trying to understand every of my kids and their Chinese levels accurately. I trust you agree that it is the base for better learning and teaching.
1) Revise 1: words and phases about seasons and autumn. (autumn, leaves, cold, raining, windy, leaves fall down, leaves change color. etc)
2) Revise 2: words/phases about time. (today, tomorrow, yesterday, morning, night, etc.)
3) Revise 3: watching while discussing the video: Qiaohu learns Chinese 17
4) Fun time: coloring, topic “autumn, pumpkin & leaves”
Homework:
Please watch the video Qiaohu learns Chinese 17 with your kid again, let him/her write down all the words he/she see. Try to ask him/her how to say them.
Note:
1) Some parents asked what were the differences between year 1 and reception, here I will try to answer you.
a, In reception, we use same textbooks as year 1, but we will learn the lessons a little bit slow so we have more time to enhance the knowledge of the basic words and sentences.
b, In reception, we will exercise speaking more while writing less.
c, We will start Pinyin later while year 1 will start soon.
d, Year 1 will arrange 10-15 minutes relative activities (e.g. fun time) every 2 weeks; we will have it every week.
e, Reminder: you can change classes if you like, just talk to me or Ms Liu/Mrs Chan.
f, Some of the pupil do not have the textbooks and writing book, can you please contact Mr Chan for purchasing.
