Sevenoaks 幼儿班 2023年10月22日 家庭作业 — Review & Homework

2023年10月24日 Sevenoaks 幼儿班 2023年10月22日 家庭作业 — Review & Homework

This week, we have learned up to 十 (ten), and they all found it easy to write 十 in Chinese. I’m glad to see that our children are so capable of recognizing and pronouncing these words. We also reviewed the days of the week, and Sunday was the most challenging because it is not spelled as 星期七. It is either read as 星期日 or 星期天. Besides, we learned how to ask each other’s names: 你叫什么名字?and also how to ask how old they are: 你几岁了?They all learned to say 我x岁 (I’m x years old).

With the learning of the days of the week, I’ve shared a story, “好饿的毛毛虫🐛” (The Very Hungry Caterpillar), which many of you are already familiar with. It would be great if the children could retell the story in Chinese. They will not only enjoy the story but also learn the numbers, days of the week, and the names of the food in the story to enrich their vocabularies.

For homework, please continue to review the days of the week as well as numbers 1-10 in Chinese. I’ve included the link to the new song we’ve learned, “How old are you?” for further practice. Additionally, there are flashcards for “好饿的毛毛虫” (The Very Hungry Caterpillar) to practice food vocabulary.

As you may have noticed, we have separated the reception class into two groups. Some of you have been discussed to move to Class B, while the rest of you will still remain in my current class, which is called Class A. Dividing into two classes will benefit our children in terms of their level and learning outcomes. The children may move up or down during the term to suit the children and parents’ learning expectations and development.
