Last week, we learned the different types of stationery names, and in today’s revision, our children were able to name them when they saw the pictures. Well done!
This week, we discussed our house and rooms and what’s in there, such as a sofa (沙发), bed (床), wardrobe (衣柜), toy box (玩具柜), table (桌子), chair (椅子), toilet (厕所), bedroom (卧室), living room (客厅), kitchen (厨房), and garden (花园). For sentence learning, our children were able to say “What’s this?” (这是什么？) and “What is that?” (那是什么？). They understood that we use “that” (那是) to refer to something a little distant, and “this” (这是) for something very close.
By sharing the Chinese poem “咏鹅” by the author 吴子豪, we also sang the poem together. If your child is interested, please listen and sing along using the YouTube link below.
