This lesson, we reviewed the colors, numbers, and introduced our new student Cecilia. Our children practiced the greeting conversation by asking: 你叫什么名字？(What’s your name?) 我叫xxx (My name is xxx). 你几岁？（How old are you?）我三/四/五岁（I’m three/four/five years old）.
For the new content we learned today, we focused on food (snacks/drinks). It’s definitely an exciting topic for our children, and everyone loves to share their thoughts on these foods. I brought a variety of food, including 糖果 (sweets), 花生 (peanuts), 果汁 (juice), 可乐 (coke), 茶 (tea), 咖啡 (coffee), 牛奶 (milk), 汽水 (soda), 饼干 (biscuits), and 薯片 (chips) for our children to observe and learn. We also had some interesting discussions on healthy and unhealthy foods, how to make tea and coffee, etc. To better participate and practice speaking, we invited each child to come to the front and share the food they know and tell everyone what they know about it. Some children made interesting comments, such as drinking coffee helps you sleep. LOL
For reading and writing, we practiced two words today: 吃 (eat) and 喝 (drink). It is challenging for some new joiners to write, but we could start by reading them first.
We will have a test on the 30th of June and give the report on the 7th of July. I would like to suggest our parents do some revision on the following topics:
