All about me: Each student will use own family photo/drawing to introduce themselves, families, favourite colour or pets (if any) etc. Help students and teacher to get to know each other on the first day

Hello! My name is: what is your name?
学生:名字是 My name is:
老师根据学生的回答给与正确的回答方式,并加上你好 (作为第一节课的第一环节)
再见,老师好,朋友 (Goodbye; Good morning teacher; Friend in Mandarin)
Families 家人:Jia Ren; Mummy: Ma Ma; Daddy: Ba Ba; Older brother: Ge Ge; Older Sister: Jie Jie; Younger brother: Di Di; Younger sister: Mei Mei; Baby:Bao Bao; Grandmother: Nai Nai; Grandfater: Ye Ye
-Greetings

B.Knowledge and skills: Colours in Mandarin
-Shape: Square 正方形
-Introduce colours in Mandarin – To be more focused on in the next few lessons

C.Skills: Writing, Reading, Counting
-Strokes / Bi Hua (撇,捺,竖,横)
-Counting: 1-10

Culture to cover in lesson:
-Where is capital of China- Bei Jing
-What is the most famous animal from China: Panda 熊猫
-What is one of the most famous sites in China: The Great Wall 长城

Homework (preparation for next lesson):
-Practice greetings – Will be tested at the beginning of next lesson
-Practice strokes and characters
-Practice shape: Square 正方形
-Practice counting 1-10
-Tell parents what we learnt about China
