本周我们开始学习第五课 – 买东西。我们主要使用下面链接来通篇大体学习了这一课。每位同学都朗读了课文，做了听中文对话并翻译成英文的练习。我们并玩了一个拆字游戏，把这一课的一些生字拆开，看看能拆成几个我们已经学过的汉字。同学们非常棒，把‘果’这个字拆成了9个学习过的字。我们学习‘买’这个字的同时学习了‘卖’，和知道了‘买卖’的用法。 生字书写学习了- 买，岁，昨， 和果。
This week, we started learning Lesson 5 -Go Shopping. We mainly used the link above to go through the lesson comprehensively. Each student read the text aloud and practiced listening to Chinese dialogues and translating them into English. We also played a character-deconstruction game, breaking down some of the new characters from this lesson to see how many previously learned characters we could identify. The students did an amazing job—they broke down the character ‘果’ (fruit) into nine characters we’ve learned in the past. While studying the character ‘买’ (to buy), we also learned ‘卖’ (to sell) and explored the usage of ‘买卖’ (buying and selling/business). We practiced writing the following new characters: 买 (mǎi – to buy), 岁 (suì – age/year), 昨 (zuó – yesterday), and 果 (guǒ – fruit).
本周作业：
1. 练习册A – 第五课 – 买东西 （只需要完成已学过的生字- 买，岁，昨， 和果 的部分）。
星期一： 1，2
星期二： 1 （只需要完成 ‘果’）
2. 请于两周内完成上周布置的作文作业， 并在6月8日上交。 学校会评选并展览。
This week’s homework:
Workbook A – Lesson 5: Shopping (Only complete the sections for the characters we’ve learned: 买 (buy), 岁 (age/year), 昨 (yesterday), and 果 (fruit).)

Tuesday: 1 (Only complete the part for ‘果’)
2. Essay Assignment (from last week)， Please complete and submit by June 8. The school will judge and display all handed in essays.
