本周是期中假结束第一周上课。我们首先快速的测试了一下假期前学习的第五课的生字，然后继续学习了以下生字 – 给，蛋，包，玩，具，和唱。偏旁我们学习了绞丝旁；学习了蛋为什么有虫字底；和时间表达- 前天，昨天，今天，明天和后天。牢记这些时间的表示会对将来的作文写作，GCSE 考试以及口语表达起到非常关键的作用。下周课堂会测试到学过的这些内容。
This week we started with a quick review test on the vocabulary from Lesson 5, which was covered before the half term, and then moved on to learning the following new characters: 给 (give), 蛋 (egg), 包（bag), 玩 (play), 具 (tool), and 唱 (sing). For radicals, we focused on the “silk radical” (纟), and discussed why the character for “egg” (蛋) includes the “insect/bug radical” (虫) at the bottom. We also practiced time expressions: “the day before yesterday” (前天), “yesterday” (昨天), “today” (今天), “tomorrow” (明天), and “the day after tomorrow” (后天). Memorizing these time expressions will be crucial for future essay writing, GCSE exams, and oral communication. There will be a quick test on these topics in next week’s class.
下周我们会继续学习第五课剩余的生字，以及复习学过的内容。
Next week, we will continue learning the remaining vocabulary from Lesson 5 and review what we have already covered.
