Teaching content on the 12th of October:
1. Review before class:
(1) Greet the teacher using “Hello”/”Good morning(你好/早上好)”; (2) Use the nursery rhyme “Rock, Paper, Scissors(石头,剪刀,布)” this week to do hand exercises with the children to adjust the classroom atmosphere. (3) Last week we learned about Chinese food and some common food names. Do you remember what they are? Chinese food includes dumplings, buns, rice, noodles, and spring rolls. What are some common foods in our daily lives? Pizza, pasta, fish and chips, fish fingers, sandwiches, ice cream, chocolate, cereal, bread, sausages, etc. (4) Dialogue practice: “What do you eat? I eat dumplings.” and “Are dumplings delicious? Dumplings are delicious.” You can also replace dumplings with any food you like.
2. In this class, we will learn “My Eyes(我的眼睛)”
(1) Do you remember what parts of our body are? There are heads, hands, shoulders, knees, and feet. What other parts of the body do you know? There are eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, and tongue. Well done! Next, let’s learn the song “Head and Shoulders(头和肩膀)” and dance together! Let the students point out their head, shoulders, and other body parts as the music plays. They can remember the names of the body parts by singing nursery rhymes. During the process, the music will be constantly accelerated to test their reaction ability.
(2) Use “Look, my… (+ body part)” to make sentences, for example: Look, my eyes/nose/mouth/hair/ears/teeth/tongue/face.
(3) Ask in a dialogue form, “Where are your eyes?” When students hear the command, they should point out the corresponding body part in time. Use “This is my… (+ body part)” to make sentences, for example: This is my eyes/ears/nose.
(4) Classroom game interaction: Tap the food. The teacher made flash cards of common foods. Students tap the food they know. In pairs, they tap the food and say what it is in Chinese. The student with the most answers wins. This game helps students identify the names of common foods and tests their Chinese speaking ability.
3. Classroom practice: Today, I will teach you how to learn the strokes of Chinese characters, such as left/right strokes(横/撇), and how to write the characters “目、牙、舌、足”.
4. Homework:
