These discussions helped the children build a basic understanding of the festival in a fun and engaging way.

2. The Christmas Story
I shared the story of Christmas with the children.
Christmas is celebrated to remember the birth of a special person — Jesus.
People believe that Jesus brought love, hope, and kindness to the world. Therefore, on Christmas Day, people usually:
• Spend time with family and friends
• Exchange gifts and share good wishes
• Help others and spread joy
In traditional culture, on Christmas Eve, people go to church to sing songs to celebrate the coming birth of Jesus. These songs are called Christmas carols, and they are used to express happiness, gratitude, and love.
Many schools also invite children to perform plays about the birth of Jesus during the festive season and welcome parents to come and enjoy the performances.

We also learned about common Christmas decorations in the home:
• A beautiful Christmas wreath is often placed on the front door
• A Christmas tree is set up inside the house and decorated with colorful ornaments and lights
• A star or angel is usually placed at the top of the tree, symbolizing love and hope brought to the world
• Many gifts are placed under the Christmas tree
• Christmas trees are commonly pine, fir, or spruce trees
• Some families also hang Christmas stockings, and children look forward to Santa Claus placing gifts inside them
These traditions helped children visually understand the symbols and meanings of Christmas.

On Christmas Day, people usually:

We discussed traditional Christmas foods, including:

• And Christmas crackers, which are often found on the dining table
