1）听写：1.冲你笑（chòng nǐ xiào）– smile at you；2. 冲浪（chōng làng）– surfing；3. 让座（ràng zuò）– give up one’s seat；4. 经常（jīng cháng）– frequently / often；5. 笑口常开（xiào kǒu cháng kāi）– always smiling；6. 考试（kǎo shì）– exam；7. 检验（jiǎn yàn）– inspect / test；8. 机器（jī qì）– machine；9. 座位（zuò wèi）– seat；10. 位置（wèi zhì）– position.
2）今天我们学习第9课《蔡伦造纸》，学习生字Today we learned Lesson 9《Cai Lun Invents Paper》 and studied new characters：造（zào）｜辶｜造纸（zào zhǐ）papermaking，制造（zhì zào）manufacture；2. 纸（zhǐ）｜纟｜报纸（bào zhǐ）newspaper，纸飞机（zhǐ fēi jī）paper airplane；3. 代（dài）｜亻｜古代（gǔ dài）ancient times，现代（xiàn dài）modern times，代数（dài shù）algebra；4. 竹（zhú）｜竹｜竹片（zhú piàn）bamboo strip，竹子（zhú zi）bamboo；5. 片（piàn）｜片｜纸片（zhǐ piàn）piece of paper，叶片（yè piàn）leaf blade，一片（yí piàn）a piece / a slice；6. 便（biàn / pián）｜亻｜方便（fāng biàn）convenient，便宜（pián yi）cheap；7. 元（yuán）｜儿｜公元（gōng yuán）AD / Common Era，一元（yì yuán）one yuan，元旦（yuán dàn）New Year’s Day，元宵（yuán xiāo）Lantern Festival；8. 决（jué）｜冫｜决心（jué xīn）determination，决定（jué dìng）decide / decision。课文解析：《蔡伦造纸》课文分三个自然段，第一段：蔡伦为什么要造纸-造纸的原因。第二段：造纸的过程-1.下定决心2.不断试验3.找到好方法4.试验成功。第三段：造纸的结果。
3）课堂活动Classroom activity：1.课文理解，判断对错。每位同学进行课堂回答。2.课本分段进行朗读翻译。1.Text comprehension – decide true or false. Each student answers in class.
Read the textbook section by section and translate.3.课堂提问：大家知道我们中国的四大发明吗？它们分别是什么？学生答：造纸术，印刷术，火药，指南针。Class question: “Do you know the Four Great Inventions of China? What are they?”Student answer: “Papermaking, printing,gunpowder, and the compass.”
家庭作业Homework :
1.）课上听写时错的字词抄写3遍。Write the characters or words that you got wrong in the dictation three times each.
